How to read an embroidery pattern

A pattern is a map: a key, a list of stitches, and a placement. If any of those three is still to be confirmed, do not guess a colorway from the product name.

Find the center. Find the first stitch the key actually names. Ignore decorative photos that are not the chart.

This studio will not publish a chart copied from another maker’s bestseller.
